- I am Dana: lover of furry things since I was small and furry... owner of @*%$& pets, both canine and feline... nurse to both sick and well at a large animal hospital... carrier/holder/provider of ton-o-stuff (AKA sherpa) to my much beloved doctor (Dr. Fran Kondek, woot-woot!)... hopeful to be educator to average-Joe-pet-owner???? I am a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been working in veterinary medicine for a little over 10 years. I wasn't always a registered veterinary technician, I spent the first seven years learning on-the-job. Then in February of 2006 I became Dana, RVT. Over the years I have worked with probably 50 veterinarians in the fields of General Practice, Specialty and Intern Doctors. I have created this blog to provide info that I think is essential for pet owners to have... and I am mostly talking about dogs and cats here. I may blog about birds, as they FASCINATE me, but my knowledge is very limited. I have a great deal of opinions, some right, some wrong,(mostly right) and I will be sharing those here as well as a ton of FACTS... which you will hopefully find useful. THAT is the goal.
I liked the dogs. Especially the rasti dog.
ReplyDeleteI recently read in the newspaper that a dog on the East Coast was diagnosed with H1N1 virus. Any updated news about this virus and dogs?
